That really reassuring to hear Danceandsing, and glad she is enjoying it too:)! How long was it that you had to wait until you found out she'd got the place!?

You're not going to like this but we had a long wait ..... it was July when she got her place! You'll need nerves of steel for this! I would say that the reserve lists move from June, keep an eye on the UCAS cut off dates as lots of offers are made from reserve lists after these dates, then there is more waiting as these offers are accepted or rejected, and then it starts all over again after the next UCAS date! We rang to establish how far up the list she was too.

Urdang question - does anyone know if this will go on UCAS anytime? Have the offer in hand but was wondering what happens with UCAS?

Hi jasmine2
My DD has been offered foundation with scholarship at Bodyworks which I gather is quite rare and she is VERY excited !!
She is 16 and more ready to leave home than I am to let her go but there is such a family vibe there that I know she will be well looked after.
Any accommodation tips or uniform requirements would be most appreciated ?
Thank you

Hey jomist what a small world! Yes they do work them very hard but she couldn't be happier there. Bird took about 80-90 on the degree in Sept 2014, their biggest intake to date, split into 4 groups, maybe they are in the same group?

katymac and pearl don't despair, the waiting is tough but I'm sure that all will turn out well. I know your DD's are waiting for DADA's but it's all linked in with the degree places as some will be auditioning for both and only make decisions when they've had all their offers of places and funding. Laines funding recalls are next week and from memory things start to move after Laines offers are out and the first May UCAS cut off date x

Hi just wondering if anyone is going to or has any experience with Millenium? Is it more of a classical school or commercial? Also my DD has bird audition on 22nd and I was wondering if anyone else's child has theirs on that day?

Does anyone know what happens if you accept a place and pay the deposit, but later go elsewhere? Urdang want a deposit by Monday and have a form to sign about fee liability etc, but DS still has auditions left. I realise that you would lose the deposit if he didn't go in the end but I am worried about any other fees later.

we paid the deposit - we thought of it as an insurance policy as dd may not go there...but we wanted her to have the option. I hope that means that it will still be the conditional insurance offer on UCAS. We don't know where she will be going yet but we not prepared to lose the place. I'm assuming if she doesn't go then we just loose the deposit.

Good luck on what you decide to do.

I'm assuming that too cluessmum and we have paid it, but are hoping we are not liable for any tuition fees if he doesn't go. Just a bit worried about the terms and conditions we had to sign. Has anyone had experience of this in the past?

We paid the deposit for the Foundation course at Oxford School of Drama last November. Under our Ts&Cs we'll get a full refund less £50 admin if we withdraw to go to another drama school before 30 June. After that we lose the deposit unless the school can fill the place. At the bottom was the sentence "We strongly advise that you do not allow any school to pressurise you into paying a non-returnable deposit or fees in advance". I take this to mean that reputable schools won't do this.

I should think that the maximum amount you would lose would be the refund but check just in case.
