Ds number 14 on boy's dada list for laines.
He's ok with it though as has place on degree course at urdang and I'm very happy as we can get full funding for this.
At least we know where we stand and can now make plans.

Dd's friend from her drama/theatre stage school received a call yesterday offering her a 3 year Dada at Laine. Looks like things are starting to move, good luck to you all waiting for news.

Just can't cope with this waiting - will be up at crack of dawn tomorrow pacing around for Laine letter as it sounds like things are moving. We were really hoping for a definitive response from them so we could make a decision about other places and move on, but if they are releasing waiting list details, the anguish may continue...

Aaagh! Nothing in the post, sob. I know DD is lucky as she also has degree offers but friends who have decided where they are going are already sorting out accommodation - will she end up living in a hostel??

I keep wondering it that's good or bad instead of getting on and going to Tesco or hanging the washing out or doing some work of my own... It is such a comfort to know we are sharing this hideous experience - good luck to you Pearl and all the others in limbo land.

Has anyone who was on the Urdang waiting list after their recall heard any thing new? Last recall audition was last Sunday (the 10th) so imagine things will start moving along soon! And Bird too, anybody heard from them? Never expected when we started this process that they'd keep the poor kids waiting for such a hideously long time, hurrrryyyy please!

No news from Urdang either, my daughter is on both waiting lists there.

On her funding audition it was a good 3 weeks before she heard from them. We enquired recently and just told more funding auditions on 10th May, would be updated after, so I am assuming a couple of weeks again, but who knows!

I hate all the waiting, I just want to get on and get things sorted but when you are still waiting..... :(

My DD has had 3 offers for Musical Theatre: Arts Ed, Conti and Brits. We are waiting to hear from Conti re: Dada awards for the 3 year diploma . I'm checking the mail every day and crossing all fingers and toes! Has anyone heard back yet from Conti re : DaDa?

Pandora, isn't your DD going to go for Arts Ed? At the moment it seems to be very influential in terms of agents and jobs after qualification.

DD also waiting to hear from Urdang - losing hope slowly as days go by. I emailed last week for an update but no reply. I belive there was a deadlne of Friday for people to accept funding so maybe we will hear next week. I wonder if all initial DADA offers have already gone out by now and those left waiting are all on a reserve list??

Re Italia Conti - I phoned Conti's last week as had heard nothing, they have sent out DADA offers to their top scorers a few weeks ago so if you have not heard you will be on the reserve list. They advised us my DD is unlikely to be funded as in the middle of the reserve list - would not give me a number or say how many on the list. I would ring them to see where your DD is on the list at least them you will have a better idea of her situation. They advised they will be sending letters out soon to those who are unlikely to be funded. I assume we will get ours this week as she is due to attend the assessment day on Tuesday 26th so I guess she won't be going now but good to have it confirmed in writing. Will be asking for the return of deposit pd.

Waiting really getting us down too. Just want to know if the door is open, closed or ajar!

Well done on all those offers! Has your daughter got a place on 3 year Arts Ed course or 6th form Arts Ed? My DD says they are quite separate courses. 3 year at Arts Ed is the best option for MT. Otherwise Brit is a great course and will be good for getting you onto a 3 year course afterwards. Or Italia Conti is good if your DD wants to get started on 3 year professional training straight away.

Mummyaud we received dd's Urdang offer 2 weeks after the funding recall so I should imagine that the 10th of May recalls have possibly not yet received their offers yet. But yes you are right about the replies having to be returned by Friday just gone.
This is a horrible process for all kids and parents involved. It would be so much better if all colleges had to work to the same deadlines!
Bring it on!!!
