I have started a new thread because, for some reason, I have been unable to post a reply to the last one I started and keep getting error messages!
So....
I wanted to perhaps justify why people have been 'speculating'. I think it is because, when your kids are hurting, you want to try and do everything possible to help them. That can involve some TLC, treats, frank talking to help them move on etc etc but it can also involve getting information that can help understand the situation. If someone has gained a place in unusual circumstances, then it is human nature to try and find out why, to try and inform what you could have done differently and how to do better next time.
Has anyone heard of any more movement on the list?

Re: Rambert waiting list 2
Everyone understands the situation of being in limbo and of course it is natural to want to do anything you can to help your own kids BUT it is important to remember also that when people speculate on the success or lack of gaining a place of another person then you are speculating about another child whose parents or friends may be on this forum or others and when people talk about 'unusual circumstances' that it is about what people again are speculating to be their circumstances. I would have hated it if after I posted that my DD had a place somewhere I had then seen comments on a forum speculating on why or how she had been offered a place.
I'm just trying to offer a different viewpoint and not aiming comments at anyone in particular, I should perhaps add.
Re: the waiting list - I've not heard of any movement - almost the opposite in fact I'm afraid in that I know of 2 people in the past week who have decided on Rambert and declined other places.
Good luck to all still waiting. I honestly think when our kids are in year 11 and going through auditions and exams is the most stressful time of all.

I'm sure that none of the comments anywhere have been personal and certainly for me it is not that someone has a place and my daughter doesn't, it is the irregularity of the way offers seem to have been made!
I have also heard that more people than expected have accepted offers this year so it could be a long wait!
