Evolution college foundation course

Hello, I've had a look through old threads and there isn't much info about Evolution, could be coz it's course is only 3 or 4 years old, but does anyone know anything about it or know anyone who has been for an audition there? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

The lady that set it up Jacqui Tapsell (she is an ISTD examiner & teacher), was in charge of Performers Pre-voc for many years (I think she is connected/related to one of the directors), I have met her several times & she remembers me & DD (DD by name) - which I think very impressive when you consider how many youngsters she must meet.

The course looks excellent (I have had it on my facebook feed for 2 years with regular updates - classes, buildings, events) & they have refurbished some lovely spaces and it looks very professional

They have dedicated student housing & a nice looking uniform

DD applied for a scholarship for the pre-voc but couldn't get there before the cut off date; DD chose Performers Pre-voc, but I would have been happy with her attending Evolution

I understand most (if not all) of the students have gone to diploma or degree courses

Thanks Katymac. The course looks great but because I hadn't heard of it, I wasn't sure. What scholarship did your DD apply for, if you don't mind me asking. It does say something about funding on the website but doesn't go into details.

I think it was a "Can you Dance" scholarship for half fees

My DD also went for an audition there in Spring 2014 and was offered a place. We were extremely impressed with Jackie Tapsell's enthusiasm and dedication. She seemed very knowledgeable and only offers places if she is pretty certain that she will be able to help secure a 3 year place for the student.. My DD would have been very happy to go there but she later got a foundation place at Urdang which she accepted. We followed the students on their website and they all seemed to do well. My DD also noticed the Evolution students on her auditions in 2015 and was impressed. So I think it's a very good college for Foundation. Good luck!
