Aww so glad to hear that she loved Bodyworks...a friends daughter was also auditioning there yesterday too.
it is a wonderful place to study...my DD is in the 3rd year on the level 6 diploma (MT strand) and loves the small family feel....small classes, lots of one to ones too.

Well that's now all the applications completed. My DD has received 5 out of 8 dates back, 1 this month, 3 in Feb and 1 in March so far, so we will be joining the rollercoaster journey from now onwards

Where was her favourite place? Fingers crossed she gets to go where she wants!
My did is at Tring, started in sept and she is so happy there. Academically it is excellent too as they do 3-4 A levels as well as their preferred performing arts course. Just wanted to post this for anyone thinking of applying.

We are nearly at the end of auditions for DD, one more to go. Only one rejection so far from GSA which wasn't a surprise as it does seem extremely difficult to get a place there. This is the second year of auditions and after trying a performing arts college a year ago DD has decided that the degree course is for her rather than the diploma. The funding is realistic to live on through student finance and there seems to be other perilferal jobs within the industry to do as well with degree. DD has some good offers and will hopefully be deciding after her last audition at the end of the month. As a parent I like the idea of the support a University can give in the first year especially with accommodation. Trying to find other students to share a house with through Facebook was a complete nightmare and getting estate agents to help from 300 miles away was also very difficult. As parents we found a lot of pressure to find the money for rent and food. DD took out a career development loan and received a partial bursary for the fees at the performing arts college. I can honestly say the whole financial side was extremely stressful. DD would have come out with a lot of debt after the three years which would have required the process of paying it back within one month of finishing her diploma regardless of earnings coming in, if any. At least with the degree this situation won't happen. I have read that a lot of parents have remortgaged to support the funding and I have heard of people in my home town losing there house after being made unexpectedly redundant. Both myself and my husband would never go down that path. This subject is getting harder for the average family to allow their children to follow. Good luck to you all and I hope your sons or daughters are given the opportunity to achieve what they want to do.
