Auditioning for SEPT 2018

Just GSA next Friday then Mountview The following Friday (and possibly Sat!) for my DS. Fingers crossed! If no luck then Trinity for defo it is for him. Wishing everyone’s DD’s and DS’s all the luck in the world with the final stages of this stressful auditioning season, and may the sanity be restored to all of us mums! xxx

Exciting and terrifying in equal measure. I would have offered to meet up while they were in Mountview together but I'm sending him up on his own ot stay with godparents and take the tube across. I might be less nervous further away...but probably not

I’m a mess all day lol!! He’s gone to every audition alone, mainly due to costs, my work commitments etc. But I think it’s been good for him. But would’ve been great to have met someone in the same situation, not everyone understands and I feel I’ve become slightly obsessed with it all !! But I also believe you have to be, to get anywhere as it’s soooo hard! Xx best of luck xx

my DS offered 3 year diploma at Bird and is on the reserve list for funding. We really hope the funding comes through so she can achieve her dreams of going there.

Hello everyone I’ve been reading these posts since 2016. All so very helpful as sometimes you feel quite alone going through all this. My first time posting so apologies if I’ve not done so correctly. My DD is 15, 16 very soon. Started auditioning in November and has been successful in all auditions. Her top choice is Bird and was also her first audition. Was offered a place on 3 year Diploma. Letter said if we receive our bid for funding we would hope to offer you a DaDa. Well, good news, Monday last week DD received her offer of a DaDa. So just to let you all know it’s all starting to move. Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations x I wish we had started training earlier but this career choice was never there till she was 16 and then it kind of grew! Always thought DD would do science. Would have been a lot easier lol!

Arghh well DD has been offered a reserve place on the trinity foundation x how does it work now? More waiting and not knowing! Stressed! Still waiting for Hammond and I guess once we hear from that I will have to look into accommodation otherwise she won't get any? Really worried! Any knowledge of reserve lists with trinity? She has accepted it on cukas and I'm pretty sure I can add a choice on ucas too once we have heard that side?

So pleased the DADA’s have started to be offered out. The waiting process is the worst. Going to keep myself busy over the next few months. What will be will be. X

Hey Marissa!! Well done to your DD - honestly this is a great achievement - she will love the foundation course - my sons friend was on the reserve for trinity and got a place - it does move around a fair bit and she said a lot of people on the foundation last year were on the reserve list xx

This auditioning is a nightmare! I find this group so helpful to read. My DS has accepted a place at UCLAN after turning down a Foundation at BSA, mainly due to cost. We couldent afford either for him to live in London. We were very impressed with UCLAN, has a Manchester and London showcase and does no harm that one of Dr Who new cast is a graduate! They audition about 800 I believe for 40 places. Great Northern School, worth a look. Good luck to you all.

Thankyou I don't think we will be lucky with Hammond xxx I've heard you get told quickly if your in x I'm more worried about getting accommodation in Manchester for the hnc x that and speaking to the bank manager next week to see if we can borrow money for Trinity should a miracle happen x
