4 years ago, when DD1 got an offer, I think it was in June. It might have changed since though.

Just looked through my emails from last year and it said should get something by end of July but I cannot remember exactly when we got the pack.

Thanks for checking. End of July would be leaving it a bit late! Hopefully we will hear sooner. :D

Congrats to everyone that has offers. Hopefully things will start to move quickly now for those on reserve lists.

Does anyone know how to apply for Student finance for Performers, ie course codes etc needed? Does it have to be done under the University of Chichester?

Things are definitely moving at Performers. DS had letter today asking if he still wants to be on the reserve list for DaDA and if he was happy with a non funded place then please could he send £1000 by 1st July!! He knows someone who was offered a DaDA at Performers last week. He's planning to phone tomorrow to find out where he is on the list but won't be taking a non funded place unless we win the lottery!

Does anybody know what the score is at Bird? Last auditions are this Thursday but is that for the foundation students or have they already had their audition?

Congrats to all who have had offers so far. Now we just wait .....

As bro1234 says the Foundation students audition at Bird tomorrow. If last year is anything to go by, some may be offered immediate places, but most get put on the reserve list - then they work through them all. It seems they offer places to the Foundation first (not necessarily above other people but as a courtesy as they're still at the college)

Then I'd imagine maybe Weds / Thurs next week the lists will start moving. After all the UCAS choices are now in. Anyone who is on reserve and offered the Degree will add it to UCAs via Extra

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting for news

DS has today received an offer from Arts Ed MT degree - any strong views on accepting Arts Ed or GSA offer? (also MT 3 year degree) Any guidance appreciated.

No connection with MT or Acting or Actor-Musician course (see other thread). This one was a mix of performing, research and other studies. Current students still continuing to get their degree. DS doesn’t really know anyone on this course as they don’t mix.

DS having fab time at GSA MT and would highly recommend for equal mix of acting-Singing-Dance, but I’m equally sure the same is true of Arts Ed. Congratulations to DC Arianadrama - great choice to have! Money may come into your choice of course...

What a great choice to have - well done to him xx
I agree with scarytimes - Money is a big issue here with one course funded and the other not (well slightly funded but a big top up needed)
Whichever he chooses he won’t go wrong :)

Congratulations to your DS arianadrama. My DD is in the same position, not an easy choice, Whichever one he chooses he can't go wrong. Does he have a
gut feeling about one or the other? My DD was always clear what her first choice was so that's made the decision easier.

I heard this, DD read it somewhere last week, it mentioned that the MT course was no longer going to be available from September and they had dropped it due to lack of funding, it wasn't a reliable source so didn't think much of it. Feel gutted for those who have let other places go for GSA if the course is no longer available.

The MT courses are still all ok at GSA, it's only their Theatre and Performance course that will end apparently.
