Oh crickeys! My DS has had one face to face interview pre lockdown, one video panel interview which was just under 2 weeks ago just waiting now. I take my hat off to each and everyone of you the stress levels are unbelievable and that’s just waiting to hear it’s then the fun of funding! 😊

GSA take 36 students per year, which is great. Foundation are mixed with them in dance sets I believe.
My DS has an offer from GSA, also has an offer from Arts. We haven’t made a final decision yet on where he will go but he will have to soon.
My DS has had four offers so far for MT including ArtsEd but is still waiting on GSA. Can I ask when your DS had his final audition for GSA, was it pre-lockdown? TIA
Thanks Sailorgirluae - yes there are a fair few waiting to decide, mine is in a group chat too, probably the same one.

Mine had her audition 19th Dec, Recall on 8th Feb and a place offered on Feb 13th. I know of so e who auditioned very early and are still waiting to hear and some who auditioned late by video and gave heard. It's odd how some seem to be kept waiting to hear.

So fed up of waiting now. Anyone any thoughts on when we should hear? Waiting on Laine dada news and thinking it's got to be soon!! I did think since they didn't go back for the dada auditions it might be sooner but they seem to be sticking to their normal timeframe judging by the forum last year.

I know I thought the same about Laine funding but last year I heard it was around 18th that letters went out - think a lot who got their funding have been informed and the letters which are sent will just say where you are on the reserve waiting list

Do you think? We know someone who was told they didn't have to come back for dada auditions originally and she still hasn't heard about any funding. And not seen anyone post about dadas recently on Facebook

I'm hoping for funding too but quite a few have been told I believe but as I don't know how many actually get them approx each year I'm not too hopeful

I know some of the laine foundation have been told a couple of weeks back. Not hopeful if I'm honest but would be good to know where on the reserve dd is.

No idea. I know a lot were offered them at their first auditions. So there may not be much left.

I talked to Sarah Carroll and she said don't believe everything you hear as don't think there actually was that many who got them at their first audition - I know a few foundation students alright from last year who've got them but sure lets wait and see - is that your daughters first choice ?

Yeah. Definitely first choice and only firm offer. We know personally of a few offered at first audition. But yeah. Fingers crossed.

Hi
If anyone’s dd/ds hears of any rooms/house/flat shares near Bird that will be available for sept please could you let me know . Freshers FB group not being set up til July and thought there may be some listed on current years group that may be suitable . She is 19 and has been in halls this year on foundation elsewhere so would prefer flat /house share if possible .
Thanks 🙏

Got the email too from Laine - thought it very unprofessional that you can see the names of everyone else on the email - there were approx 65 names on the email so my understanding was their intake is approx 80 per annum so that would mean only 15 got Dadas - they must be increasing their intake so as it seems very strange too that you can defer your application for a year ??

I think it must mean defer applying? To audition again? I dont know what that means. And yes very unprofessional but also slightly reassuring that she wasnt alone and there some high standard people on their. But no not good as far as confidentiality and GDPR is concerned.
