Exciting news from DS - he's had another offer from Italia Conti but it came after he'd made a firm decision to go to Bird. All credit to him - he is staying with Bird and booked his accommodation this afternoon, 2 hours before he had the Italia Conti offer.

If you're waiting for Italia Conti recall decisions it took exactly 3 weeks for them to let him know after the recall date, so from first audition to offer was about 6 weeks.

The very best of luck to all your DCs.

Regarding your Arts Ed query oscar - DD got Arts Ed recall email two weeks after she submitted her tapes - approx 10 days after her audition deadline. Recall information followed a couple of weeks later by email after her face to face was swapped to online. She had her recall on Zoom yesterday - the same day as her face to face would have been - and really enjoyed the sessions. I think a large number have been recalled for Arts Ed so we're expecting further rounds for those who pass the recall. Good luck with your audition!

That's great news icantdance. Well done to your DS on his successes and in making his decision. He'll have a ball. It's lovely hearing about offers and even better to hear those tough decisions have now been made. Brilliant! :)

Some good news at last after weeks and weeks of stressing - DD received her first offer yesterday from Performers, I haven’t seen her smile like this in months \:D/ \:D/ \:D/!!! She’s also now on the dreaded Bird reserve list and we’ve gotten the details today of her Urdang recall. Now we’re just waiting to hear back from Laines and Masters. Having an offer in hand has taken so much stress off her, any other positive news will be a bonus. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for all of our DC who are still waiting on audition results.

That's fab news, Anastasia79, and massive congratulations to your DD. I really liked Performers; their facilities are amazing and she would do well there if she decides to go. Such a relief for her and you - it makes such a difference when they have an offer in hand and can relax a bit!! =D> =D>

Congrats to your DS! As a parent I was really impressed with Bird when we went to look around. And good luck to everyone waiting on recalls etc. My DD is still waiting to hear from Arts Ed and Central. I am sure its been 2 weeks already so I am hoping she won't have much longer to wait! She still has 3 more she hasn't submitted to yet and I am hoping she isn't leaving it too late!

That is such good news anastasia79! I'm so pleased for your dd - it makes such a difference once they have an offer and know they can go somewhere great to train! My dd cried when she got her first offer (even though it isn't her top choice). It's such a relief for them at such an anxious time. Well done! Now celebrate! :)

Thank you, it’s made such a difference to her and her confidence! After we’ve heard from the other schools, if there are any other offers, I’d like to take her to visit them to see in person before she decides.

That's just what I have said to my DD anastasia79 and I'm hoping colleges can allow that before final decisions are made. Happier times though! :)

I think even if they don't, driving to see where the college is and the ambience will help as well. Some people wouldn't want to be in the middle of a town, for example, whereas others love the hustle and bustle. Performers is in its own grounds with loads of car parking; Laine, for example, is in 2 buildings across the road from each other pretty much in the town centre. I'd get fit just from going up and down the stairs there!! I think one of the issues this year is that so many of them are through UCAS, and (I'm not sure of the exact date this year) usually UCAS decisions have to made by mid-May probably 3 days before the next stage where we can actually mix indoors. It is so much more difficult not having been and getting a feeling. Probably worth looking at the accommodation availability as well, and what that looks like. I do know that Performers accommodation can fill up quite quickly and late offers finds people struggling a bit with places to live. A car helps there but would be no use at all at Laine or Urdang.
