Thankyou dancelifemum! Hoping for less anxious weekends now!
DADA form completed for Laine. I can't see any more funding decisions being made until April when the next cohort have their offers. We know some fantastic girls auditioning at the end of March. And then it'll depend on the scores from the auditions and people's incomes and first choices. Think we'll just chill for a bit now and wait and see how things turn out. Really do wish everyone the offers they want and the funding they need. They deserve it after the year they have all had and the resilience they have shown in this tough dance/MT world :)

Absolutely, well said and congrats again to your DD! It will be interesting to see at the end of this process where all our DC decide to go in September. It’s been such a hectic process up to this point and it’s really comforting to know that things are nearly sorted for all of them. Enjoy your weekend :)

Hello - has anyone heard back from ArtsEd after applying at the end of January? They had technical problems so the deadline was changed to end of February. Our video went in fine at end of Jan but didn't expect to hear anything for a while. However now it seems quite a long time. I've also emailed them to see if there is any news and no answer. Just wondering if it's just us or others are waiting too? thanks!

That's super news Belledancer. We are hearing of so many getting full funding (which we are assuming are not DADAs but scholarships). Sounds like Betty Laine must have sold her family jewels! Well done to them all. What a lovely call to get at the end of the week! :)

Hiya, my DD had similar dates and has had a recall and is now on the reserve list so definitely worth a phone call to follow up. Good luck!

My DD submitted hers in February and I thought we were waiting a long time! I would definitely be tempted to give them a call.

I am wondering if it is worth us contacting Laine too as it is over 3 weeks. I am assuming that means no, which is fine but the waiting for answers is painful.

What date was your interview if you don't mind me asking?

I think it was 23rd Feb.
There was an issue with submitting the first video as there was no sound so she had to re-submit. She asked for confirmation that they had received it okay but never heard back. We assumed it was alright as they went ahead and interviewed her.
Wondering now if they actually saw it!

ok think we were 24/25th...yes DD is panicking that we uploaded part of the video with the wrong clip but have only just realised....penalty points!! She's fine with not being offered but just concerned if it's because of her editing.

Laine have another round of auditions next week. They may well have a large reserve list and are waiting on the current applicants before they make decisions. We noticed that there was no "acceptance form" along with DD's offer - just the DADA declaration form. So we also think that they don't know yet how many students will accept their place as for many people it depends on funding. Do hope you hear sth positive soon! Waiting is horrible.
