Auditioning for 2021 entry

Can anyone help me with a UCAS question? What happens when you accept an offer? do you need to put down a deposit right away? How much deposit is usually required? Is it refundable? We would try reaching out to the school, but honestly, you all are much faster and so much more thorough with your responses- plus we don't really want to highlight the fact that she's accepting it while hoping for another outcome...
DD hoping for spot from reserve list at MV, also applying for foundation there, but won't know until the end of June

no deposit for performers required and if you accept on UCAS the college doesn't necessarily get the notification straight away...they get told their actual numbers after June 10th...the ones you pay are the forms you are sent direct eg Urdang say £100 within 14 days but that's separate to you accepting on UCAS to them if that makes sense?

So it means a think about where we go....as she has accepted a degree place!

My DS still waiting to hear but a friend heard a day or two ago via email re the reserve list. Anyone else still waiting?

We've also now heard where DD is on the reserve list.

That's good....we got told we had a 'strong audition'
I think within a certain number you should be able to tell if it's likely? If it's what she wants

Performers College released the accommodation list....most are taken up by current students...daughter now frantically phoning around.

Make sure you still message all the landlords and ask them to let you know if anything comes available. We had this problem when dd did pre-voc at Performers (finishes this time last year), couldn’t find anything and has got to the point where we were considering a host family, something dd didn’t want as she was 18 and wanted to live College life! We were literally about to book one when a landlord rang us back and asked if we were still looking as someone had dropped out, turned out to be a lovely house too. They have pre-vocs who hang on to their house until they’ve decided whether to stay at Performers or go elsewhere (like my dd did) and students who still move around and then their room comes free so things can still come free.

TBH there were only about 40 free rooms as most listed '3 bedroom house, 2 existing students remaining...one room available etc'.....then over 150 people phoning these landlords!

Hello we are in the same position doesn’t seem to be enough accommodation for all the students at the moment, hopefully will Some more landlords will come forward!

There are a lot of Performers students in Trafford House in central Basildon - we got sorted there in august last year. Mainly 2 bed flats but DD found flatmate on the Facebook page and they have privately rented together. It’s 2 mins from bus station but within weeks had carshares sorted. Staying year 2 as well as very happy there. Let me know if you want more details

I know exactly how you feel. We’re the same now, we have degree offers that are sorted but DD has gotten a diploma offer at Urdang her first choice and is now waiting on funding confirmation. When you think you’re done, it’s more waiting and stress ! I’ll keep fingers and toes crossed for your DS and my DD
