DS got his last offer before 20th May and the deadline was 10th June on UCAS but then on 7th June another letter from one of the unis already offered was uploaded with a revised deadline of 14th July
That’s really good, a longer deadline is quite useful.
Sure is!!

So it looks like she’s off there in September unless we get funding confirmation from Urdang which at this moment I’m not holding my breath on. So I’ve started getting her organised with uniform, etc.

Hope you all are well and getting geared up for a new chapter in September :D
yes we have started sorting uniform....bits and bobs so far and went to Dalby's

Bird have just sent out the email asking if you wish to remain on the wait list...and still cannot tell anyone where they are! This process just seems ridiculous although I am sure it's easier for them!

My daughter's singing teacher also has two students who are still waiting for Urdang.

They’ve been the most painful to wait for especially as it is DD’s first choice. Hopefully your daughter’s singing teacher will hear some positive news soon.

Them and Urdang are epic with the waiting which is hard for most. Sitting in limbo is the horrible as you keep hoping. A clear yes or no, is so much easier to manage.

From our experience in previous years, once this question is asked (usually with a reply deadline) things start to move very quickly after the deadline

bird reserve list in legendary every year for late offers. This year many more places are late too. Daughter heardfrom 1 place last week that originally said she'd hear in April and her last outcome though she wouldn't take now has said as late as July before she hears.

I also know someone with several offers (though not the dream one) who is still waiting for outcomes and can't say what they're doing until then.

Yes I agree...between them and the Laine dada list ....lol. Luckily she has decided but hopefully she doesn't throw me any curve balls if we then get an offer as we are in the process of sorting accommodation etc... ](*,)

Anyone got any knowledge of this?
Thanks
Yes our friend DD had this too... for degree the last term is optional so you can finish mid May and go home or carry on with optional classes (and presumably rehearsals if you're in a show). Seems a bit unfair on student finance but I suppose it isn't much earlier finish than other colleges?
Another friend DD is on AVT and they have finished but having an extra two weeks tuition added on but that is to make up for missed lessons from covid so she doesn't think will be offered next year.

this one says don't reply if you wish to remain on the list......but still can't say where you are on it until after the end of June.

I suppose it depends on the college and how it breaks the year up. Where mine is going the academic year is more like a school, with an early/Mid Sept start - mid July finish plus all the half terms (reading weeks) plus the Xmas hols is 5 weeks long. To compare my other one at a regular Uni, has a late Sept start and mid May finish, less time at Xmas and no reading weeks. Drama school still more weeks but not as much as it first appears. The other way of looking at student finance is it can stretch more if they're home earlier or have more available time for paid work.

From memory this is what they do just before making all the offers. It's done very quickly using UCAS Extra (?) for degree.
I would imagine end of June is the deadline and then they'll have their definitive list
Fingers crossed for you

It's ok I think highly unlikely she would accept but would like all offers complete on table if possible for definite. They removed anyone on reserve list from UCAS so I believe it will be direct. In a way that is better for those that have been able to accept another firm choice and a reserve and still have the possibility of a Bird offer...we will see.
