Exactly! She’s so grateful to have got a degree offer at one of her other top choices.
All the very best to your Dd too

DD has heard from Laine (finally!) that she has been offered a place. We are looking at all possible funding options as it’s her dream place to train! She can’t get a Dada.
That is brilliant that she’s finally heard from them with an offer of a place \:D/ ! The little I’ve heard is that yes they can be used for students 19 and over. Good luck to her wherever she decides to train!

That's great news that you heard at last! Well done!
We have been trying to contact Sarah Carroll again regarding our funding offer but she's a tricky one to get hold of so I think we will just take the degree offer as final choice. Wherever they go they will get amazing training and I can't convince myself that you'd get more for 18k than you would for 9 on student finance.

Hi, wonder if someone can help with a query for one of DD's friends. Apologies but I need to be vague about the institutes concerned.

Friend has been offered Dada at drama school A
But is still awaiting outcomes of drama schools B & C, one of which would be via a scholarship (not Dada), the other via student funding.

Friends preferred option is either drama school B or C but needs to give drama school A an answer and send info relevant to Dada.

If friend says yes and sends all paperwork off to school A and then is offerred a place at either B or C, will they be able to withdraw their place at school A. There is no deposit to hold the place (as far as I'm aware).

Pretty much impossible…we have just decided to wait it out & if it happens it happens. Sorted digs for alternative & DS has joined both group instas so making connections both ways.

This sounds like us too. We are still waiting on funding confirmation from DD's first choice, but in the meantime her 2nd choice has been accepted and we are busy trying to find accommodation. Like your DS she is in both FB and Snapchat school groups so she can interact with her potential new friends. It's so strange to still be sort of in limbo and being in between two schools. We spoke with her 2nd choice and they said that we can withdraw her without any financial penalties once we do it before student finance transfers her fees to them in August. I'm really hoping we have 100% confirmation either way before then.

Has anyone heard anything about Italia Conti foundation. I understand it is awaiting accreditation to be a funded course. Any news on whether they will be funded in time for September starters?

Ah brilliant! Yes she found out whilst they were all in rehearsals for showcase. Good luck to your DS!
My DD feeling very happy about going to Urdang after attending the online virtual event last night. I saw it some of it too and feel very pleased with her choice.

Hi. Just a random one....does anyone know if the dance/drama qualifications are taken into account for the degree courses? eg the UCAS points for intermediate ballet etc? as they add up to quite a few points, but wondered if they are considered as in theory we already have enough without A'levels etc? Also wondering if by any chance we were short (hopefully not) then there was any leeway?

It depends on each individual institution.
