Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Does anyone know anything about an Urdang waiting list this year? They’ve never had one before
Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Regarding ArtsEd reserve list, dd said in her current year (first year) one boy got in from the reserve list and two boys were moved up from Foundation to Degree. So, not a lot of movement last year.

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Interesting question, I’d hoped someone might answer it. I guess waiting lists make sense for Urdang if they hit their maximum intake. Does anyone know how many they’re taking this year? They’ve always been a bit quiet on numbers. Have people been put on the waiting after every audition or only more recently?

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
I believe they had one last year, as Dd’s friend was on it….( although ultimately went somewhere else as they couldn’t deal with the waiting! .
My Dd is currently on the waiting list for Urdang, after having the 1st audition & then a recall- we don’t expect to be hearing a ‘positive’ result from it, so she’s considering withdrawing her place on the list, as she has offers from other places. ( Bird, Laine & Performers)
The way I see it is Urdang have seen her twice, and *still* aren’t sure enough to offer her place, so it’s clearly not the best ‘fit’ for Dd. The other places were all quick to offer her a place, so I feel she’d be much better suited at one of those.
Also whilst the Urdang offer is still pending on UCAS, it means everything else is held up…… ( although I’m not sure exactly what happens once all your offers are in on UCAS anyway- all a bit of a new experience

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Does anyone know if an offer on the day from performers increases the likelihood of being offered a DaDA?
Anyone have experience with this? DD is so keen to go there. They advised they will start to offer funding after the auditions are over mid April.
DD has been offered funding elsewhere and don't want to accept and take it away from someone else if she gets funding at performers.

Aww congrats!! I have been keeping my fingers crossed for him, hoping he would get an offer from GSA after you posted about his recall, as I was outside the GSA building on that day chatting to one of DD's teachers who happened to be on the panel that day. He told me that there was such a great bunch of singers in, lots of talent, so well done to your DS!! Big decisions to make now, good luck to your DS making his mind up and enjoy your bubbly

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Congratulations on such fabulous offers, my DD's favourite audition was GSA, she cried and cried when she came out as she loved it so much. She is now in her second year at GSA and it has been amazing. Please message if you want to know anything.
She is off to The Oliviers tomorrow- students were invited from GSA ( ArtsEd too I believe )
Enjoy every drop of champagne!
