Congratulations on such fabulous offers, my DD's favourite audition was GSA, she cried and cried when she came out as she loved it so much. She is now in her second year at GSA and it has been amazing. Please message if you want to know anything.
She is off to The Oliviers tomorrow- students were invited from GSA ( ArtsEd too I believe )
Enjoy every drop of champagne!
Congratulations 🎉 - a lovely position to be in 😊
Good luck with the decisions!

My DD is in her final year at GSA and is also off to watch The Oliviers tonight! The 3rd years have worked so hard and put on some incredible shows as well as juggling auditions. Just one last show to rehearse and perform.
Her year seem to be like a family and they are incredibly supportive of each other ❤️

It’s so important for them to attend things like this so they can visualise themselves being in that space in the future. Urdang students have also been invited and will be in attendance on Sunday.

I agree - the Oliviers will be such a wow! ArtsEd 3rd Year students are performing. My DD, as a first year, was disappointed not to get a ticket. But maybe next year!

Oh wow! I hope she has a lovely last term and gets the agents sign up she wants. So great to hear all the positive reports of GSA. We are so grateful to be in this position - but can’t believe the refusals we will have to make! Spreadsheet time - all pros and cons but ultimately it will come down to gut feeling I think.

That’s fantastic! congratulations to your DS. I have a DD in 3rd year of Artsed, soon to graduate and my youngest DD has accepted Artsed for 2022. Happy to answer any questions.

I am just wondering if anyone has any advice/ experience of the ArtsEd foundation acting course which is mainly held at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre.
Many Thanks

How they feel about a place is very important. Best of luck!

DD has an agent and a West End Theatre contract starting at the end of June. It’s a very fortunate position to be in but she had 6 (I think) rounds of auditions before being offered the role.
I’m looking forward to her first show as an industry grad in August - it still seems a bit unreal! Still there’s one term left to enjoy and throw herself into at GSA before that!

I would also be curious to hear about the degree straight acting course at ArtsEd - I don’t remember seeing any mention of it on here. I wonder if it’s as highly regarded as the MT course.

There aren't that many of us on here who have children interested in straight acting. There's more MT performers, which is why there's less posts about acting degrees. DD was briefly in touch with a lad last year who is now at Arts Ed yr1 acting degree and was enjoying it. He initially was going to do the same acting degree elsewhere that she was but both ultimately turned down. Unfortunately she's now lost touch with him.

Hi, we’re off to arts Ed mt audition next week, from those who have done it, it would be great to hear what to expect from the morning part, what’s the dance like, is there a type they’re looking for singing wise?

After several recalls elsewhere and no firm offers, this is the last chance for this year so want to give a good shot!
