My daughter has just met someone at Arts Ed today whose RB final is 11 May! So going on up to that 16 May deadlineDitzi wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 4:33 pmThank you, feels good to have the pressure off.LizzyBee wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 12:26 pmWell done on the GSA offer! Impressive as they haven’t even done all their recalls yet.Ditzi wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 7:01 pm
Thanks K8t, yes, offer for GSA.
She’s waiting to see what happens with RB which is still her first choice but she would happily accept GSA if she doesn’t get in. She enjoyed her audition at GSA and likes the idea of optional additional classes which they offer. Her RB final recall is next Wednesday, hopefully they won’t take too long to decide. She’s waiting to hear if she’s through to the final round for RCS which she’s still thinking about.
She has Oxford foundation recall on Friday and East 15 foundation next Saturday. She’s decided to do the Oxford recall since it’s a workshop and she’s all set out to go with her friend and stay overnight. She might still do East15 although I don’t see the point but she sees it as a workshop which she’s already paid for.
It is such a relief to have an offer, especially as she very nearly didn’t send her self tapes because she didn’t think they were good enough!
We are celebrating this evening with a well deserved takeaway pizza and a glass of wine!
My daughter was at RB final last Sat and they said decisions would be May, by the deadline of 16 May. I thought they were just doing the 4 Sats in April for finals when I was trying to work out numbers but it sounds like more if you’re there next Wed. Good luck to her
I remember dd saying there was one more audition date at RB after hers, as far as she’s aware. It looks like they are waiting to do all auditions before deciding who to offer to. Good luck to your dd too, I’ll be so glad to see the end of it!

Pleased to say DD is not just going to accept the GSA Foundation, she’s is going to her recall at Italia C and just leave things sit for a while.
Anyone attended the IC Musical Theatre Acting audition yet?

She’s not been told yet! We only got the email last week for the recall and they said they would be in touch.
When did you get the recall email? Did it have a date for audition on, or was it sent separately?
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
My DD’s been waiting for a recall date since the end of March. It’s getting a bit late now tbh. She has 2 foundation offers and wants to make a decision. I’m concerned about her missing out on accommodation also.

Email just said recall but the date came fairly quickly after. We were surprised at how quickly it came after self tape submission.

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Just checked with my DC and they got their email on 29th Feb and recall dates came a few days later on 3rd March.
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
They emailed my DD on 17th April for a recall and said would be in touch. She sent her tapes in 5th Feb! It’s not very impressive to be honest.
We’ve so got offers one BA, one reserve BA and one Foundation, although that guarantees accommodation for first years. It would be nice to be sorted. She has a recall for Mountview on 18th June!
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
It sounds like some got theirs earlier then, submitted tapes Feb, only emails 17th April! Still no date for audition.sailorgirluae wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 9:12 pmJust checked with my DC and they got their email on 29th Feb and recall dates came a few days later on 3rd March.
Good luck to your DD for tomorrow.
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Ah my DD has Mountview recall on 17th June. She has been offered degree plus foundation year at PPA but I don’t think she’s going to take it. Just wish Conti would give a date.K8t wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 9:36 pmThey emailed my DD on 17th April for a recall and said would be in touch. She sent her tapes in 5th Feb! Wow those Mountview recalls are late. Are they for BA or foundation? My DC is at Mountview tomorrow but for Actor Muso.Sahara wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 9:06 amAh my DD has Mountview recall on 17th June. Sounds like we are in the exact same position as you! DD has a ‘reserve’ offer for Foundation/BA with PPA, but even if it is a firm offer, doesn’t think she will take it, as has an offer for GSA foundation, which she would prefer over it. Also an offer for Rose B, which was a wildcard!Sahara wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 9:06 amAh my DD has Mountview recall on 17th June. Still waiting for Conti MT Acting and a long wait for Mountview, although I think she may not bother with that one.
I wonder if because it’s a new course and it is awaiting accreditation , that they have been slow? I have no idea about these things.
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Mountview is Foundation MT for my DD but as has a GSA offer for the same, so may not go, partly as she prefers GSA and partly due to funding.sailorgirluae wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 9:32 am

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Hi does anyone hold an offer for BA MT at ArtsEd or know of anyone who holds one? Thanks
