Fingers crossed for your dc, the waiting is a killer! Where are they waiting to hear from, any idea how long they need to wait? I find it helps if you have a rough idea of when you might hear back.sailorgirluae wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 10:34 pm Well that’s it with regards to auditions for us - last one was today. No offers yet, waiting on RB and Arts Ed decisions, plus Guildhall final and Lamda foundation auditions to go.Ditzi wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 10:26 amI totally get you! The waiting is so hard! Does your dd have any more auditions to do, any offers? Mine has an offer from GSA and two more auditions to do, so whatever happens she’s got somewhere to go. That takes some of the pressure off, but she’s always wanted RB so if she doesn’t get in it will hurt, especially as she knows she’s definitely going somewhere else. She wouldn’t turn down an offer at GSA for the off chance she might get in next year.LizzyBee wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 10:02 pmI hate the waiting! She said there were around 30 in total (a guess) quite a large group compared to other schools she thought. She feels she could have done better in
some areas but she did the best she could in the moment. The fact she cares so much about this school made her feel more nervous. I think overall it went well, she had a lot of fun and liked the teachers, particularly the year 1 course leader. They all finished at the same time and were told if they feel they need to, they will do some zoom interviews within the next couple of weeks. I was expecting them to do interviews on the day, so that makes me a bit sceptical. Did they keep people behind when your dd auditioned? They also said they’ll give the results after 11th of May auditions but before the 16th deadline. They also said they accept 45, which is more than I expected, but I wonder how many of those places are still available. I find it hard to believe they haven’t made any offers yet, I remember seeing a post on social media around October time last year from an acting coach to say one of their students had an offer.
At this point, we just want to know!! Good luck for a positive outcome!
Fingers crossed they get a place, but like you said, my dd had a strong positive feeling after the second round, she’s not so sure this time.

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
So we are waiting on EDA and Conti for MT and Mountview for Actor Muso. Mountview have said they will know by 1st May (final round was yesterday). The others were 2to 4 weeks so potentially a few more weeks of waiting.Ditzi wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 10:36 amFingers crossed for your dc, the waiting is a killer! Good luck with the rest of the auditions! What does your dd think about Guildhall? Mine did the second round (didn’t get recalled), she thought it had a very different vibe to the rest of schools. Your dd must be good to get to the finals, fingers crossed for her!LizzyBee wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:05 pmNo offers yet, waiting on RB and Arts Ed decisions, plus Guildhall final and Lamda foundation auditions to go.Ditzi wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 10:26 amI totally get you! She loves Guildhall, would definitely be her top choice if lucky enough to get an offer. She felt they were the most suited to her and how she wants to train as an actor. Though she also likes RB a lot too.Ditzi wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:53 pmGood luck with the rest of the auditions! What does your dd think about Guildhall? What two auditions have you still got to do? Does your DD prefer RB over GSA? She’s done really well to get an offer there, seems very competitive. We didn’t go for that one, well actually she has in past auditioned for MT there.Ditzi wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 10:26 amI totally get you! The waiting is so hard! Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
RB has always been her top choice, but she also likes GSA and knows she’s very lucky to have an offer there which she would gladly accept, just feels like she would be better suited to RB. Still has Oxford and RCS final recalls to do. She liked the sound of the course at Oxford when she went to the open day but thought it would be too remote for her location wise, as it’s somewhere on the outskirts of Oxford. She only applied for foundation but was recalled for the 3 year acting course which she’s decided to do and see what happens. RCS recall is in Glasgow, so it’s a good opportunity to see the school, as first round was on zoom and second in London.LizzyBee wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:27 pmWhat two auditions have you still got to do? Interesting you mentioned your dd applied for MT in the past, has she applied for both MT and acting this time around or acting only? My dd has an MT background but decided she wants to do acting.

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Hi all
As an ex GSA mum I am reading all these posts with interest. Mine had an amazing time doing MT and has gone on to work professionally, starting before graduation.
On GSA website if you click on students and alumni you can see their destinations and Spotlight info.
Same for ArtsEd under students.
You will be able to see the students of the past three years and what agents they secured or didn't.
I know the graduating year of actors at GSA have had it tough, so have those at ArtsEd. ( we have friends with alumni of both )
If anyone wants to drop me a message and ask anything, please do. Good luck to you all.

Lots of posts about RB on here. Where is that? Can’t work it out. Thank you
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Do/did any dc’s go to the RCS in Glasgow? I would be curious to hear of any experiences. Dd has her final recall next week and although was not really considering it when she applied thinking she won’t get this close, she’s starting to warm at the idea of the possibility of going there if she gets an offer. She always said (and still does) that she wants to be in/near London, but likes the idea of studying in a big city like Glasgow. Obviously she’ll get a feel for it when she auditions but I’m curious to hear people’s experiences. We are aware that she might not get an offer, in which case problem solved. But if she does, we would like to be as informed as possible.
With the auditions coming to an end, it’s starting to feel very exciting knowing that she will definitely be going somewhere this year!

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Just when I thought we were getting to the end the waiting is extended with 2 ‘wait list’ for Mountview Actor Muso and Conti MT
which could take us well into July and beyond. Also still waiting on EDA and GSA foundation outcomes. May need more
to get through the waiting - our DCs are so resilient!
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
My DD attended RB foundation in Edinburgh a few years ago (it no longer runs) where the staff were from RCS. They were all amazing tutors. DD got an automatic audition (can't remember if it was 2nd or final she had) from RCS due to where she had studied, back then it was online and her course had just finished and she'd started working as an actor at a tourist attraction back home . She asked if her online audition could be changed to accommodate this explaining the issue (she didn't want her new employers to know she was still auditioning for degrees and had only just started so couldn't book a day off) and they were less than helpful. I appreciate it might not be possible to rearrange a date but the response she had which was pretty much they expected her to let down her employer and a paying audience in order to attend an audition she may not be successful at, could have been better handled IMO. Consequently she had to cancel it. I'd say teaching brill, but ensure that you don't leave anything to chance going wrong on audition day. Glasgow itself she never visited and I've never been so unable to comment.Ditzi wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:40 am Do/did any dc’s go to the RCS in Glasgow?
