Strange one today.

DD was on the reserve list for MT at PPA with foundation year. They had asked her to audition for Stage and Screen BA with foundation, but having decided on GSA declined the audition. So today they said hadn’t made the MT course but offered her the Stage and Screen 4 year.

Nice to be offered but wonder why they’d offer without an audition, unless they are having difficulty filling it. She could of course just be so talented!……😂

So it was another reserve list offer and a no from the last 2 Auditions so looks like we will be doing it all again next year. DC obviously disappointed but resilient and they don’t turn 18 till the end of Aug so a bit of youth on their side. Now what to do in the interim to be planned I guess.
Sorry to hear that @sailorgirluae. Which school/course is she on the reserve list for? My DD knows of someone who recently dropped out of a foundation as they had a late BA offer, so movement still happening.
Reserve for foundation at EDA and Conti and Actor Muso at Mountview.

Will definitely look at what NYT and NYMT have to offer to keep up her skills over the year.
@sailorgirlUAE any update for your DD from the reserve lists? 🤞

Just landed on the door mat this morning is an EDA offer for foundation. One very happy young person in my house right now.

Thanks. Now to play catchup with finding accommodation!
Anyone else’s DC on here going to EDA and searching?

So just when we thought things were all sorted my DC called me from Norway today to tell me they had just received an offer from Mountview for Actor Muso! So we have gone from being on 3 reserve lists to having 3 offers as Conti also offered them foundation.

Now it’s decision time - do we stick with foundation MT at EDA or take the Actor Muso BA🤷‍♀️

Wow! Amazing! If you can afford the fees at Mountview I would snap their hand off compared to the other 2 foundation offers (assuming your DD plays instruments).

Congratulations on the offers, it’s a tricky one! It depends on what course your dc would prefer I guess. I agree with Harry2003, if actor muso is a course that they are interested in and you can afford the fees, I would go with that. I don’t know the difference between the courses so I can’t comment, but I think it should ultimately come to the course content and preference (MT vs Actor Muso, rather than foundation vs BA)

Thanks all. Mountview it is! Fortunate to be able to fund them through training. They both keep telling me they will pay me back when they are rich and famous😊. Not holding my breath!

Hopefully we all know where our children are going, or not going, but has anyone heard from unis re equipment list?

DD is off to GSA, but apart from hearing she has her preferred accommodation - not where - we have nothing else by way of what she might need in the way of dance stuff/books, no communication. She says she’s has nothing by way of emails etc.

Luckily we have most footwear in a mix of nude, black, pink but it all seems a bit laid back considering they’ve only got four weeks or so.

Maybe it’s just me!
