Can anyone recommend somewhere to get headshots done for my dd. London based and preferably not going to cost a fortune.

Diego Indraccolo (Light Spot Studio) did mine and I would highly recommend him! He is very reasonable and gives you a CD with every image taken on the shoot as well as a few retouched ones. He also is very friendly and relaxed so you get great shots (and I'm not normally that photogenic
