yorkshire based agents

Hi can anyone help, my daughter has had 2 agents in london interested in her one she is going to meet nxt month the other thinks we are 2 out of the way!!!! as we are based in south yorkshire (they are looking for london based kids) does anyone know of any reputable agents in the yorkshie area, thank you

Hi Mikaytay, I know of 2 agencies in Yorkshire (not South tho') :
1. Rebel School of Theatre Arts & Casting in Leeds Tl: 0113 305 3796
2. Yorkshire School of Performing Arts in Bingley (Agency: www.stage84.com)

My dds agency is in London and prefers Ldn based kids simply because they run a weekly class where they expect full attendance so I guess that may be a reason for Ldn only children.

You could try Scala Kids based in Leeds - http://www.scalakids.com The child has to audition to get a place in the drama class & a separate audition for the dance class. Depending on how old she is, they have various classes throughout the week & also on a Saturday. Once offered a place, they can then sign up to the agency. I don't think they will let you just sign up for the agency alone as they want to be sure of the childs ability/suitability for any work opportunities although you could try asking. You could also look at http://www.northernfilmanddrama.com I understand they have classes in Wetherby & Castleford. Good luck

My dd has just been taken on by NFD Agency, based in Castleford, dd had an assessment with them last night, they seem very good and knowledgeble and are very keen to help my dd, they do have classes in Castleford on Wednesday evening, which as we live in Lancashire dd isn't attending, they are very much a tv and film agency and make that clear, if that is what you are looking for.
