Is this agency legit or not? Is anyone here with this agency? Has anyone heard anything about them?
I've been offered work with them, but only on the condition that I pay to join their agency for a year. It would only cost me a tenner, but I've been stung too many times to dive into this and happily give them my bank details. Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

No, no, no! Avoid them like the plague! This is NOT how legitimate agencies work and you will never see any jobs for your tenner. Everything about it is suspect.
Have you honestly been offered work? Paid work? Or just the "promise" of being "put forward" for something if you pay them some money?
You are quite right to be cautious.
Scam. scam, scam!
There are no proper contact details on the site. Look through it all with a cynical eye and you will find a hundred things wrong with the way they operate (or claim they operate). I'm sure when you look at it again you'll see what I mean. How can they possibly guarantee a job to everyone who pays them a tenner? I don't suppose the film exists, but even if it did, you can see that they could not possibly be in a position to guarantee work for everyone.
Definitely steer clear!
P.S. Here's a link to information about current legislation:

My partner is reporting the site to the hosts and I might try to alert trading standards tomorrow as I am quite sure they fall foul of this legislation!

Re: Class-act agency -URGENT
This has cropped up in a few places so it seems sensible to bump this thread up again. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
In case anyone is confused this: http://www.topclass-acts.co.uk/ is the agency I was referring to. You can see on the site that it calls itself Class Act Agency despite the name of the website. This is rather confusing as putting "Class Act Agency" in to a search engines produces lots of information about various companies with similar names.
I'm guessing this is the one Adele is referring to as I've come across others who have raised questions after the company seems to have cropped up on various casting websites offering "jobs" on a "film".
Definitely one to steer clear of!
