Extras

Post by jessmcg20 »

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could help me!
I'm looking to do some extra work as trying to save for my gap year, and my agent hasn't been that successful in auditions so haven't managed to get any acting work this year! And was just wondering whether anyone knew any good free websites to get started with extra work etc?
Also, do you think its worth asking my agent to keep an eye out for extra work also?
Thanks!

Presuming you are over 16 now, here are the biggest & best....however, most only open their books once a year for Jan - Dec registration so you may have to wait a while:

http://www.castingcollective.co.uk/

http://home.maddogcasting.com/

http://casting.stephenlake.co.uk/index.asp

http://www.extra-people.com/

http://www.rayknight.co.uk/default.aspx

There are others but these I've worked for or know people who have used & are the most likely to get work

And yes before you ask - all are free to register, but they take a "book fee" out of the fee for your first job & you can register for as many as you like.
And all that jazz...!

Hi!
I'm also looking for work as an extra, I haven'thad any professional experience before and I've been told many times before that being an extra is a great place to start :)
So thanks for putting these sites up on napm!
