Casting Website-Membership not approved?
On behalf of my dd i joined The Casting Website on a months trial (£20) Have fully uploaded her profile but its still showing as an unapproved membership? Initially i thought the photos were being approved and that was the delay (although they're good enough for Spotlight!) but after 3 weeks its still saying membership not approved...and its nearly time to decide whether we reapply and pay for a longer period. I've emailed them but have had no reply. TBH i'm not very impressed so far.....am i judging them too quickly. Can anyone answer my query???

I think to be an approved member you have to have comleted one of their workshops (at great expense I think)!

You can still apply for the jobs they advertise, even if you aren't approved so long as your profile is complete........although in a whole year we didn't see anything on there to apply for that wasn't already either advertised for free elsewhere or had already been discussed on here LOL!
We found Jade in the office quite helpful, give her a ring.

Or have some professional work on cv ? Dd was registered for a year and at the end of the year she did get one good job, but I dont think the job was advertised on website the casting director just liked her profile and got in touch. So maybe worth having profile on their website even if you dont register.francescasmum wrote:I think to be an approved member you have to have comleted one of their workshops (at great expense I think)!

Thanks for your replies. She has got a fairly decent CV so don't think it will be that...but the need to complete one of their workshops is quite possibly it. Don't think we'll bother though TBH. Does it usually take long to hear back if you apply for a casting?
