casting jobs

Hi there everyone,
Im pretty new to this site, and just reading through varous posts, i see that lots of kids are going to castings to all sorts of things. Can you tell me how you get to find out about these castings? Ive got a very drama orientated 7 yr old who loves to dance, sing and act, and I have a very handsome (nearly 16 yr old - 1 month to go!!) who loves doing film/tv acting. Hes involved n a local film school that has made a few fils and an internet soap, with him playing lead charachter in. Any help/advise would be appreciated, Thanks

Hi and welcome,
The majority of our kids have agents but not all, we also find castings through various other methods, 1 of which is checking the listings on here, Starnow has castings as does kidscastingcallpro, The Stage newspaper, local theatre websites, most will have panto auditions up now or very soon.
Depending on where you live there may be lots of stuff available through drama groups dancing schools.
NAPM is a very good place to start and you will find people on here very helpful and willing to share information.
