Last week my agent contacted me about this great audition but it said the time and location were to be confirmed. When it got to yesterday (the day of the audition) we (me and my agent) still had no news about the time or location so I obviously couldn't go. I am now assuming that it has been cancelled or at least postponed.
There is probably a very good reason for this but I am just wondering if this is usual and if there is something I should/could be doing now as I was really really excited about this opportunity and I would hate to miss out on it because of something I didn't or didn't do at this point.
Many thanks for any advice

This has never happened to DD before but sometimes we have only found out the time/location late on the day before an audition. Surely this is something your agent should have followed up for you? All you could have done is to have chased your agent to see if they had confirmed and received the final details.
Hope it has just been postpones and you hear again soon ... what does your agent say?
Got an email from agent this morning saying that Sunday was only a possible date for the audition and that they have contacted the casting team who say they might call me in today or tomorrow so all is good.
Thanks but I don't think its anyone's fault. I was just wondering if it was normal and what I should do. I don't live in a theatrical family at all so sometimes I just need advice or reassurance from the wise mums (and dads) here. My agent are really great and I think the casting team just had a change of heart. I didn't get called into an audition in the end but they said they will be keeping my CV on file for potential future roles. Oh well, I suppose it's much less disheartening to get rejected before they've seen me act than after.
Anyway I have an audition for a different thing on wednesday and I will be filming something else next week now so onwards and upwards
Thanks everyone for their help and advice on this. Its much appreciated.
um - it might not be usual - but disorganisation and being messed about like this is certainly par for the course
hopefully your agent understands that neither you nor your offspring can drop everything and go to an audition (remember adults often can, and cd's can forget that kids - and their parents - generally have day jobs)
