Masterclass Auditions for Production of Loserville

Post by Actnowcasting »

Hi NotaPushyMom readers

Act Now Entertainment who last year produced a production of Dear Edwina directed and Choreographed by Drew McOnie as well as some great productions of Into The Woods, Annie Jr and Hairspray are holding auditions for their next exciting production of Loserville the recent West End musical. The production team include its original West End Director Steven Dexter as creative consultant and Ewan Jones who was the original assistant Chroeographer on the West End show.

We are holding a masterclass/workshop on Sunday 26th January at our studio in Isleworth (Near Richmond) from 2pm-6pm

We are looking for Boys and Girls aged 12-25 to be part of the cast including all lead roles and ensemble, this would be a great opportunity to work with such a professional team.

A bit about Loserville: Created by Elliot Davis and James Bourne (of Busted and Son of Dork), this new musical premiered in Leeds with an amazing cast that included Lil' Chris (Rock School), Gareth Gates (Pop Idol), Charlotte Harwood (Legally Blonde), Eliza Hope Bennett (Inkheart), and Aaron Sidwell (Eastenders). It transferred to The West End and was nominated for Best Musical at The Lawrence Oliver Awards.

Welcome to Loserville. It's 1971. Michael Dork may be a computer geek but he's invented something that could change the world. He's also discovered girls: a prospect (almost) as exciting as his love of binary. Holly is the girl: she has looks and brains and wants to be the first woman in space - well, this is 1971! But will she want Michael? Eddie wants a fast ride to the top and doesn't care who gets trampled along the way. Leia just wants Eddie. Michael's friends are all set to change the course of history, fashion and dating - in no particular order, but just as soon as possible, especially the dating bit.

Just to let you know a bit more about Act Now Entertainment, since it was created in 1989 "ANE" has produced several shows with the intention of working with professionals that can give young people the chance to work at a top level. In 2011 we intiated a year long theatre company that would bring talented youngsters together with creatives at the top of their game! This company has continued and this year we have productions of Seussical, Little Mermaid Jr, In The Heights, Les Miserables Schools Edition planned as well as our exciting regular slot now confirmed at The Minack Theatre in Cornwall where will be performing Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida

Some of the recent successes have included Carl Spencer recently appearing in The Scottsborro Boys at The Young Vic, Max Bowden currently filming as a new regular in Waterloo Road, Kerry Ingram appearing as the Olivier Award Winning Matilda and now filming another season of Game Of Thrones, 4 of our cast appeared in West Side Story with the NYMT as well as 3 of cast perming in The Other School also for The NYMT!
If you would like to attend the masterclass/workshop on Sunday 26th January please email us at actnowvegas@gmail.com and we will book you in ( we only have 25 places) Please note there is no charge for the workshop.
