Spotlight pages

Post by mouskouri41 »

I have just been given my dds Spotlight pin and had a look at her page.My initial reaction was that it was a bit neglected to say the least, but I don't really have anything to compare it to!For a start the colour version of her photo wasn't even properly rotated and lying on its side,so you had to turn your head round to properly look at it.Secondly there were 2 credits missing that she did last year.
It got me wondering as to what control other parents had over their dcs pages-do they leave it to the agent,or do they have dual control?
I'd possibly like to add more photos too at some stage-is it customary to just have one,or several?

I have control over my dd's spotlight page and update it when ever there is a new credit to add or new photo or anything else. Her agent has access and recently changed dd's main photo for a particular casting because dd's main photo was squeaky clean and the role required more edgy. I think this works very well for us, but I totally trust dd's agent and she knows I'll keep it up to date. Not everyone has such a good relationship with there agents or such a great agent.

It's a lot of money for you (not the agent) to pay each year and if you think the site looks neglected then won't a cd think the same? If f's agent changed profile pictures for one role that first impression must be important.

Mine is the same but I am lucky as ds was with another agent so had the pin, so I update it myself think some agents are worried that parents will put on silly things like school plays which should not be put on

Hi,

Is there anyone who has had an agent in the past and therefore Spotlight but doesn't have an agent now but still has a spotlight page? Only DD's agent is through her drama group and she will have to finish with them in August to take up longer training in September but that doesn't co-incide with the Spotlight dates. I have access to her page and can update it but I don't think I could put her forward for auditions and if I want to know what they have put her forward for, I ask the agent. Have been requested via Star Now to complete applications online for other agents so need to follow that up ASAP.
