Dd is cool as a cucumber, whereas I'm feeling the pressure more than her. Super expensive so far and we haven't eve...

Re: Auditioning for 2017

It is a very short song and monolougue session at Bird but the course is professional dance with MT so I suppose it makes sense for the emphasis to be on dance. Is Bird the only one that does a physical examination?? Its a tough audition wherever you go I would imagine. Hold on tight for a bumpy rid...

Re: Auditioning for 2017

Good luck to everyone as things start to happen. Stick with it and remember that not many succeed in getting in first time! And just keep picking them up if they get No's. Our DD had four auditions prior to last Christmas, got four big No's and didn't even make the cut from the first session in two...

Re: Auditioning for 2017

:D I know, it comes around so quickly, doesn't it? When is your DD at Bird? We sent off the application yesterday. DD is going for the diploma. We originally ruled it out just because of location, but when I had a closer look, it seems like it has good transport links in and out of London. Nice to ...

Re: Auditioning for 2016

I know it's sad :( she is very academic as well as scoring highly in BTEC diploma so I am just praying they will offer her a degree, I don't know how they decide if they offer a diploma or degree though. I am dreading it already!!

Re: Auditioning for 2016

Thanks for your reply, yes there are some help with the DADA for maintenance costs for the very low earners, however we sit middle of the road, I would have to pay a small amount to fees which id fine but then as it seems to me find 6,500 a year to cover accommodation, which we just don't have. I th...
